Argentine legend Diego Armando Maradona is said to have passed on after suffering a heart attack on Wednesday, 25th November 2020.
The news of Maradona’s death has thrown the football world into mourning. Football players and fans alike have taken to social media to express their condolence to the family of the Argentine great.
Diego Maradona was a mercurial footballer that played for the Argentine national team. He played for a variety of football clubs in South America and across Europe including Barcelona and Napoli, to mention a few.
His ability to take on absolutely any defender made him a terror for many teams to contend with. Maradona earned himself the nickname of “El Pibe de Oro” (“The Golden Boy”) because everything he touched almost certainly turned to gold.
