celebrates with African Apostolic Church at 60.

Following the reports submitted by the Hon. Demola Olisa led Markets Inferno Fact-Finding Committee, the Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu has held meeting with the leadership hierarchy of Alade and Olalaye markets.

Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu, while addressing the leaders of Alade, Olaleye and Alasela markets said it’s a known fact that the government cannot take care of all the burnt items lost to the fire within the markets but the little that can be done by the local government is to provide succor as a responsive government who is sensitive to needs of its people.

The council helmsman stated that his administration and Hon. Rotimi Olowo (Lagos State House of Assembly Member, Somolu 1) are in touch with Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in providing relief materials to the victims of the Alade and Alasela markets fire inferno and Olaleye market.
In the well-attended meeting which was held at the Durosimi street office of the Executive Chairman, the APC leaders headed by Apostle Peter Oyewusi appreciated the leadership of Alade market especially for creating spaces for traders whose shops were burnt by hoodlums which hijacked the #EndSars protest.
According to Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu, N10,000,000 (Ten Million Naira only) has been approved for fire victim traders of Alade market and Olaleye markets while occupants of the two shops that were affected by the fire at Alasela markets will also be compensated.
Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government has felicitated with African Apostolic Church in Somolu as the ‘Ajaye’ church members celebrate sixty years of the existence of the church. Attending the thanksgiving service on Sunday with his beautiful wife, Mrs. Florence Salawu, to celebrate with Hon. Rotimi Olowo and Hon. Yomi Osunkoya, who are rooted members of the church; Hon. Salawu said the church has been a disciplined spiritual institution in somolu with sincere spiritual leaders who are concerned about the progress of the members. Reverend Samuel Atilola prayed for the administration of Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu to excel more as Somolu is becoming a much better place during his tenure in office. With a quarter of a million naira, the Council Chairman lunched a gospel album which was newly released by a Somolu youth who is also a member of the church, Olatunde Atilola.
At the African Apostolic Church thanksgiving, Hon. Rotimi Olowo was with his amiable wife, Pastor Atinuke Olowo. Hon. Lukman Olumo (Ajeromi-Ifelodun 1), Hon. Nurudeen Solaja-Saka (Ikorodu 2), Engr. Abiodun Orekoya (Commissioner, Lagos State Local Government Service Commission), Hon. Williams Lawanson are among friends and family who came to celebrate with Hon. Rotimi Olowo.
Hon. Olowo, a Lagos State House of Assembly four-term member recounts how he survived the dreaded Covid-19, despite the fact that all his households tested negative. He said, he observed self-isolation, took all precautions and medications as directed by doctors for days before coming out stronger. He thanked God for coming out alive and he gave 40 members of the African Apostolic Church the sum of N25,000 each to show gratitude to God and celebrate with the ‘Ajaye’ church at 60.
