The group has early condemned reports of violence by some hoodlums, attacking public facilities in the state especially the capital city, Ilorin. Specifically, we want to state that the looting of the palliatives recently donated by the Federal Government for distribution to victims of the recent rainstorm was not done by the Kwara youths” according to a statement by the Co-convener Adetola Kehinde.
“It is important to note that Kwara youths are renowned for industry, innovation, and decency. Therefore, such an act could not have been carried out by them. Those who pilfered the government’s palliatives and goods belonging to private businesses were hoodlums, miscreants, criminals.
“Kwara Rebuilders has launched the hashtag to tell the Kwara youths true story. Even though some are hellbent on giving us bad names, we wish to tell the public that they do not represent us. Kwara Rebuilders, therefore, urges the true Kwara youths to take charge of their image by joining resolutely to preach peace and spread love in their own capacity while every effort is being made by government and security agents to secure lives and properties of every citizen.
