With intel collated during the week, residents of Ijebu-Ode and its suburbs have been thrown into pandemonium as an unknown syndicate keeps moving from house to house, allegedly killing and making away with the arms of their victims.

It has been sourced that on December 4,2020, this very syndicate visited the house of one Mr. Sulean at Ipebi Quarters, Molipa Village, Ijebu-Ode with a tricycle and murdered him right in front of his mother.
Although investigation is still ongoing by the Police to identify these vicious gang and apprehend them, here are some tips to stay safe, in order to enjoy this yuletide season.

✅ Totally avoid arguments with strangers and transporters.
✅ Employ the use of please and sorry in phrases frequently.
✅ Apologise even when no one is offended.
✅ Be nice for no reason.
✅ Always wear a smile as your frown/ facial expression might look offensive to them, unknowingly to you.
✅ Walk in groups and never go anywhere alone.
✅ Be courteously cautious
✅ Never stay too long at bars/public spots.
✅ Make sure your phone is charged at all times, turn on your data connection and GPS.
✅ Immediately lock your door as you get home and put your phone in vibration/silent.
✅ Get phone numbers of radio stations and police stations in your vicinity in order to dial up faster during distress.
✅ Do not call when attacked. Send a SMS instead.
✅ Be observant with your movement. Always watch your back and rear mirror in case of tailing.
