Ghanaian actress Salma Mumin made a now deleted post on Thursday, claiming that Ghc 10,000 has been stolen from her MTN mobile money account.
MTN exposed the actress, releasing a statement that she never had that amount of money in her account. Apparently, Salma’s story was a fabrication. MTN released a statement telling her to apologize for her actions or they would take her to court.
On Thursday, Salma had claimed that Ghc 10,000 had been withdrawn from her MTN business account without her knowledge. Salma slammed MTN, claiming MoMo is not safe. However MTN responds to those claims in their statement, making it clear that it was not the case, also saying they are willing to take her to court if she doesn’t apologize.
Now, Salma Mumin has taken to the same platform he lambasted telecommunication company on, Instagram, to apologise for her post. According to a press release, Miss Mumin said her comment was a “misapprehension” and thereby apologised unreservedly.
